I have a PC mounted in the front trunk and an in-dash 7" touchscreen in the dash which plays MP3's, does GPS and internet access etc.

Your Navigation system

Hey, What brand navigation system did you install into your porsche? I'm planning on hooking up my 2002 porsche boxster, however don't know a thing about cars. How long did it take? Is it hard to do? And how much did it cost? THANKS!

It's home made. I have a PC in the front trunk running Windows GPS software, iGuidance in this case. The GPS is mounted by the cabin filter then there's a 7" touchscreen in the dash to control it. I can play MP3's and access the internet too

I'd say around $800 and a few too many weekends. I'm not done with the software setup yet, there's always something else to tweak. At the moment I'm working on writing GPS tracks to file so journeys can be reviewed offline and "dot raced" against each other. I'm also looking at sending my location via cell phone every few minutes so the car can be tracked. It's a hobby as much as anything but the GPS is especially useful.

what size are your techarts? Can you take some side photos of them. I am very interested in doing a wheel upgrade for my box.
