My Boxster

Most Boxster owners are perfectly happy keeping their cars 100% stock. Many Porsche snobs feel it is an affront to the fine Porsche engineering to change anything!

I was reminded of this last Sunday when I went on a PCA tour. There were several Boxsters on the tour - all 100% stock. A lot of people ogled my Boxster as I had it dressed up nice in humps and all... but would any of those other owners even consider changing out their amber side markers to clear? Nope! I think the market is less limited by the number of Boxster cars as it is by the age and attitudes of most of the owners.

I wish I had a chance to go to a PCA tour event.

I was one of those Civic kids. I probablly would still have it, if it wasn't stolen.

Anyways, everyone has there own preference.

My Boxster is not stock, although I bought it that way, i like it modified.

But, I do appreciate a well maintained stock car. I think of it as a Blank canvas.

This is my Boxster. I'm guessing that the previous owner was a member of this forum. He did a Great job. The only thing I did was lift the back alittle, the tires scrape the fenders.

It needs new headlights because at night they look messed up, when they are on.

You can! There's a PCA for the Hawaii region at hi.pca.org
Very sharp looking car by the way.

I've had my share of Japanese cars - Mitsubishi Eclipse, Subaru WRX, and a Honda CRX that I kept the longest (6 or 7 years). All were modified though. It's difficult for me to leave a car well enough alone. There's always something I want to do to it. Right now my big project is putting subs in my 911.

Your car looks great! When you get new headlights consider getting litronics or the clear halogens. They'll improve the look by taking the amber turn signal off the front of the car.

Thanks, hopefully if they come out with a design it will have LED's for turn signals.

I think i'm like you. I had a CRX, Civic, S2000, NSX, and Now a Boxster. Non stock. I wish i can just settle. Right now i have the urge to get a Mustang GT. Put a wild cam in and a super loud exhaust. I keep wanting something else.

I have a Lexus RX 330 for daily

The only vehicale that i managed to keep long is a junky 1995 Nissan Hardbody i bought with a Salvaged Title in 1998!!! I never wash it, and change the oil once a year. Sometimes i drive it to try to blow up the engine, but it doesn't die. It was stole twice. But, For some odd reason i'm satisfied with it, i don't really want to replace it. Haha
