Talking Pics of my first Porsche

Here are some dealer pictures of my new Boxster S that I will be picking up next week.

Can't wait.

What do you guys think about getting rid of the amber lights on the green car. I can't decide whether the clear will look better than the amber with the Hunter Green.

Great looking 986! Looks just like mine . I have the amber lights on my rainforest green metallic Box and I don't think it looks that bad. At the moment I'm just leaving it as it is. Clear lights may improve the look a little bit but not as much as on a white, silver, etc.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

I'll be selling a set of clear headlights soon to pay for my new Litronics. You can get Halogens for $600 (plug and play) and Litronics for $1200 (requires labor for complete installation).
The clear seem less distracting than the orange.

It may just be the picture, but something looks funny about the bottom of the back of the driver's side seat? Seems to bulge out at the bottom as compared to the other side (and how mine looks in my 2001), just something to ask the dealer about if it is still that way when you pick it up.

Enjoy your car, love the color combo - the green/beige was my second choice.

Yes, I noticed that in the photo of the weekend, but I don't remember seeing it when I test drove it.

I will check it when I pick it up on Wednesday.

Thanks

Got it.

Picked up the my Boxster S yesterday and drove it back from Long Island to my apartment in Manhattan, then to my storage unit to loose the hard top for the summer

DONV, I checked the driver seat bottom when I picked it up and it was hanging off as per the picture. Apparently when they cleaned it they did not put it back, but 2 mins attention from the mechanic had it back in its write place.

Good job I took my TomTom GPS with me as the PCM1 Nav system was out of commission as it needed new discs as aparently the old ones had a fault. So they have ordered new ones from Porsche which will be delivered direct to me in the next day or so.

Can't wait to get to do some more "bonding" with it, but for now is in the parking garage accross the road from my apartment (how I wish I had a house with a drive and a garage so I could "play" with it endlessly )

This weekend intend to pay a visit to Technik1 here in Manhattan to have the 3m plastic covering added to the front end and mirrors.
