I was thinking the same thing.. My 99 came with 17's and I wanted factory 18's at first.. I ended up with aftermarket 19's that look great and didn't need spacers..

Love the color combo, love the wheels, but more importantly... I love the license plate!

I would think: If the edge(s)/contact patch of your wheel and tire is further away from your wheel bearing location, you will have an inherently higher moment about said bearing....bigger wheels will give you the same moment loading as spacers. Bigger wheels are a much cleaner arrangement though..
