Spoiler Doesn't Work on My 2004

The dash light turns on at 75MPH indicating the spoiler is not working. Dealer says the entire "spoiler drive" needs to be replaced to the tune of $1,200. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Spoiler Dash Light 2004 Boxster

The dash light comes on everytime the spoiler is activated (75 mph). The light will stay on until I turn the engine off. This repeats everytime the spoiler is activated.

The porsche dealer says...

Vibration Seems to be Gone

Had my wheels balanced this morning and went for a test drive. The vibration problem seems to be fixed, at least for now.

I have the same problem. I have vibration at 75 MPH plus. I'm going to get the wheels balanced and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks. Its a fairly large cloud of smoke and it seems to be happening more frequently as in maybe one in five or ten starts. I'll have it checked out before my warranty expires!

Just an update. I still have not experienced this since I stopped stepping on the accelerator while starting the car. I now think that my problem was due to this.

I am certain that this has been covered many times but all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

On the initial (morning) start up my 2004 Boxster emits LOTS of smoke. Can this be prevented?
