I recommend to swap the complete wiring harness including all ecu's. Everything else will give you big headaches, because the ecu generations are completely different and have to talk to each other...

Over here in Germany these cars in very good condition and with low to medium mileage are around 30-40 K euros. So even as USD / EURO = 1:1 this seems cheap.

In Piwis you can code the country version of the car to alarm control module under the tab maintenance / repair. There is also a variant coding 1 to 4....
