I've read before that Porsche leather is already dried out. It's not suppose to be oiled.
Regardless...mine is 18 years old and is in perfect condition despite the Texas sun and heat.

Has anybody successfully used the rental tools from Autozone or other FLAPS to remove their rear wheel bearings while keeping the carrier on the car? The SIR tool kit isn't practical to buy for one...

Found a local guy that had the original M030 struts with just 30k miles on them. Score! Did get the spring tool from Autozone...will be a fun weekend.

Plastic is more functional. Glass is more cosmetic.

You can use a regular breaker bar and then slide...
You can use a regular breaker bar and then slide a metal fence post over it. I just did that for my driver side drive axle CV boot replacement.
Torque is math. Don't waste money on a torque wrench.
