Front end Bearings

Has anyone had to replace their front bearings on their Boxster ? If so what kind of sounds or noises did you notice that led to believe it was the bearings ?

I have a 1998 and this problem is fairly recent. It has never had any electrical options installed. But I'll check the fuses. Thank you.

Has anyone ever had a problem with a parasitic battery drain ? If I go more than 10 days without driving my car I have to charge the battery. Can it be something simple ? Easy to check ?
