I resolved my rattling headrest windguards with a small piece of double sided tape right in the bottom middle of the piece. A piece of foam tape would be as effective.

The round adjustment knob that I was asking about earlier seems to be the culprit, as it is proud of it's seat when I set the ball and socket properly. Turning it seems to accomplish nothing.
