Oklahoma Boxsters
This is a shout out.
I know a couple of OK based members here have expressed an interest in starting a meet-n-drive kind of a thing. With great driving roads like Rte 66, the Turner Falls area or the Tallahina Drive, I think it's a great idea.
If any of you catch this post, please chime in here.
Thanks!
Tim

Count me in.
I'm in Lawton, but have no problems meeting in OKC.
Tim - there is you, me (Rick), OKC Shooter (Jason), 78F350 (Jon), OklahomaBoxster and I think one or two more.
I can meet up just about any Sat or Sun (working around AutoX and DE days). We could meet for breakfast or lunch and go from there.
You other Okies - give up some ideas.
Rick

Thanks for checking in guys! Yeah, weekends are nearly always fine for me. I refuse to book any work on Saturdays or Sundays.

Hey, I just noticed this thread. OKC is about a three hour drive for me, so a quick meet for some coffee probably won't do well for me, but I would love to get together some time. If the timing is right, a full day or weekend trip would work for me.
I have always wanted to do the Talimena Scenic Drive, Turner Falls looks good, and there are some good drives here in NE Ok.
TravelOK doesn't have a page for Boxsters , but they do cater to motorcycles with some good suggested routes: Motorcycling in Oklahoma | TravelOK.com - Oklahoma's Official Travel & Tourism Site
A big Talimena Drive trip this summer might be fun for OK, North Texas, and Western Arkansas to get together, but then again it could be a rolling traffic jam of Boxsters
My biggest question: What will Rick be driving?

I think I'll drive the green car. I want it and Tim's car to go out back while we're having lunch and make a little all green baby Boxster!

LOL, totally! Cool and rare color on that one.
I'm anxiously waiting for the weather to stabilize. I think a Talimena drive or something like that would make for a great day. I don't mind making a trip to an epic spot. And I often go to the cars-n-coffee thing at Northpark mall in OKC where I usually see a small gathering of nice newer and vintage Porsches. Maybe some of you centrally based guys are in on that?
Right now I'm listening to the cold drizzle running off the roof. Sigh!

Although, sometimes genetics gets kinda screwy, so we'd better be careful...

Ha! In this world full of white sedans with gray cloth interiors, I actually really dig that!

Sorry, I missed this message. Yes I went, but wasn't able to stay long. That show is getting better all the time. They had some interesting exotics this time around.
Anyone else go?

Oklahoma Guys - The PCA War Bonnet Chapter monthly breakfast is Saturday, Feb 21 at 9am at the Cracker Barrel, I-35 and 122nd in OKC. Easy to get to! You don't have to be a PCA member to go. Everyone welcome!
Let's all get together. The monthly breakfast club guys are a good, low-key group. There's usually a good showing of Boxsters and different 911s.
I'll start to PM everyone in about a week to remind you all.
Let's do it!
Rick

Chiming in here. I live in the Mustang/Yukon area. Hopefully I will see you guys in the future. Talimena Dr is a great road if no one has gone yet. I have gone a few times in the Subaru, not yet on the bike or Boxster but have been itching.
