could anyone help me find the IAT?

i just bought a performance module for the boxster and it has to be connected to the wire of the IAT sensor. on the instructions it says that the wire should carry a voltage of 5 volts, but the problem is i found two wires with 5 volts.
there are 5 wires numbered 1 to 5.
wire no 1 has 5 volts(its coloured blue & white), wire no 2 has 12 volts(red/blue), wire no 3 has 0 volts(brown), wire no 4 has 5 volts(red/pink), wire no 5 has 0 volts(white/blue)
so the wires with volts are the first wire and the fourth wire.
could anyone please tell me which one is of the IAT?

Well I assume your 'performance module' is simply going to modify the voltage from the intake temp sensor, tricking the DME into thinking the air is cooler (more dense) than it is, and increasing the injector pulse to richen the mixture. IMHO, the only thing this performance module will do is give you a check engine light.

To answer your question:
You don't say what year the car is but on a '99 the wires are:

1) Temperature sensor (bl/gr)
2) Supply voltage (re/bl)
3) ground (br/wt)
4) 5V reference voltage (re/vi)
5) Signal voltage (wh/bl)

thanks for the info.
i checked with the company before purchasing the module, but they assured me the on board computer would not give me any errors, ill just have to check and see!! the module has a positive 12 v wire, a negative ground wire, and a wire that needs to be connected to the IAT sensor wire. the car is a 1999 model. so you think the wire is the first one?
