thankfully, not the car! Was riding on a friend's EX-500 today in Malibu when a little power loss turned into a clacking, tapping, pop!, and eventually a horrible grinding. Not sure what happened, possibly a valve spring or maybe the cylinder ring. By the time I came to a stop, there was a hole in the crankcase and a connnecting rod sticking out. Fortunately, it didn't seize or anything, so no drama.
It was pretty much age, 38k on a 16 year old bike. But the first thing I thought about....what it would feel like to hear the Box suffer the same fate...
