Coolant Bleeder Question

I searched threads and did not find an answer ...

I am replacing the bleeder valve on the expansion tank. The square shaft of the old one disintegrated when I flipped up the metal loop. I found a piece on the old bleeder that is not on the new. It is a little rubber piece that looks like it would restrict flow. I found the extra piece is shown in the pictures of the German branded bleeder on Pelican's site. The new part (genuine Porsche) does not have this piece. Do I need it? Was there a revision?

No and no, as with many Pelican items, it is an after market knock off.

Thank you.

Now I just need to figure out how to fit the bleeder to what I am realizing is probably an aftermarket tank. It's super tight!
