Thanks for replying. Yeah it's not that one, it's one of two little rubber flaps that fit on the belly framework behind the crankcase and in the middle between the rear wheels. I would guess they scoop air towards the transmission to help cool it. I did a few searches but just calling them rubber 'vents' or 'scoops' didn't seem to find anything. I'll get a pic next time the car's up to better show where they are.
