I wasn't mocking you at all, Maytag!

As far as the Ferrari at the track, even if you take it pretty easy in the turns, it will still be fun, because it's very fast, and will sound fantastic.

My take on really pushing the new car at the track is this - one of my best friends is a professional driving coach. He is an awesome driver that just wasn't quite able to break through to the pro ranks where he could make a living by his racing. So he does the next best thing, which is coaching rich guys. That normally means new drivers in the Ferrari Challenge, which is basically set up to be a traveling racing fantasy camp for the uber-wealthy. Those are seriously fast cars, and after a few scary incidents (like spinning on the tri-oval at Daytona at 185 mph), he will no longer ride along with the students. Seriously fast enough that what would be a likely harmless spin in the Boxster could be a big deal in the Ferrari because of the greater speed. The Ferrari is a much more difficult car to drive really fast. A lot of the rich new guys crash their very expensive toys, or scare themselves silly early in their driving careers.

Just something to think about...
