mobil 1

i know that this subject has been covered but i have a question that i could find an answer to. what is better for the 2.5 engine in sandiego? i found the 0/40 mobil 1 that is not ''energy efficient'' and the 15/50 in the quart that is not ''energy efficient'' and the 15/50 in the gal. jug that has the identical label on front as the quart but has an additional classification and IS ''energy efficient'' according to the label on the back
thanks in advance

Usually, any oil over a 40 weight is NOT energy efficient. You should be fine with the 0W40 in your area.

Yes, 0-W-40 in SD will be fine for your car unless you are tracking!

The EE label is actually NOT a good thing for you engine as it increases EE at the expense of the quality of the oil.

In the Porsches I run M1 0W-40 and I do not track the cars. I also use that in my BMW 328I.

If I wanted to spend just a bit more $, I would run Red Line 5W-40. I consider Red Line the best motor oil in the world.

I run it in my Buell Motorcycle, which is air cooled.
