Hi yfz/700R,
These Headers are direct replacement for the stock manifolds with no modifications, but you need to verify to see if your Boxster still have the stock cats.

Delubozparts,I have a question for you on behalf of ALL californians.
Are your parts that you sell 50 state legal, but more importantly, legal in California?

I wouldnt worry about that, Here in Ca, you can tell the Smog man that your exhaust is a Porsche tequipment part...factory performance part, Chances they wont even ask.

Hi blinkwatt,
These Header and Exhaust will Pass Emission test here in Texas, but for California required Carb.Exempt # regardless. So my answer would be will no pass or legal for California residents. Thank you !

Curious as to how difficult the exhaust is to replace. Can it be done with one person (me) in my garage? Or do you need an exhaust shop to do the work? How much effort is required to remove the stock exhaust and install the new one? Thanks in advance...

Hi arp35,
The exahust installation is simple, but definitely would made things much easier if the car were on the Lift. Please do keep in mind this exhaust is direct bolt on for 00-04 Boxster, for 97-99 Boxster will required drill two holes 1.5" toward center bracket on the exhaust.

mr. Randall apart from the dyno results did you actually notice a big difference in power on the street? the reason i ask is because i was considering ordering a system for my 2.5 and being in california i would probably have to R&R the stock exhaust every 2 years for smog
thanks

The "butt dyno" feels it a little. What is noticed most is the sound.
Adding the headers alone won't give you the sound. Now what I did not try was the exhaust alone without the headers to see if the sound was the same. I'm thinking it will be quieter with stock headers because there's just less exhaling happening if that makes sense.
