Durametric Enthusiast not showing vin's used?

I bought a Durametric Enthusiast tool and used it on my 03 Boxster S and when I check to see how many vin's have been used, it doesn't show any vin's used? What would be the reason for this?

Don't worry, be happy

Mine is the same way. I have done full diagnostics on both my Boxster and my 996 Targa and it still doesn't show any VINs used

Mine didn't show until I used it to clear an airbag light.

Interesting. This is my 3rd Durametric and the previous 2 showed used vins.

Hum, not sure if the previous tools ever showed my car's vin, but they did show used vin as I bought them used. I bought this one used also. Never had to do a air bag clear.

There was one thing that happened with this tool that didn't on the other ones. When I first started the Durametric software, it had to do a firmware update on this tool. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

What version of the cable do you have?

I used mine a few nights ago and said the firmware was up-to-date. Then again, I had to use version 5 of the software as 6 would immediately "crash".

I used mine for 3 years and it never registered, then suddenly last week my vin appeared. Don't know why.

Interesting. I wonder if the other vin that was used will pop up along with mine eventually?

Did you update the usb driver for software version 6? The usb driver is different for version 5 and 6. Not sure how version 5 works, but with version 6 you must have the tool plugged into the usb before you start the program or it will crash immediately. Or it may be that your tool is not supported by version 6 software.
