Look at this post: http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/60607-trouble-xenon-headlight.html

It has information on the trouble shooting process. The next step I would try in your situation is to swap the ballast from one unit to the other. (The ballast is the large metal box at the back of the headlight. It provides the high voltage current needed to excite the molecules in the Xenon gas to the level where they emit light.)

It is easy to remove the ballast. Just remove the fasteners and wiggle off the electrical connectors. I bought a used ballast on eBay when I had one go bad.

Here's a link to a post on my adventure with litronics: http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/54697-advice-used-litronics.html

I had a bad ballast and problems with the wiring to sort out. Some board members had to replace the light switch.

Good luck.

Hi,

check if the blue connector is OK. Sometimes they get broken. Sorry, did the chart in german language only.

In general i would say it's a connector problem, but it also can be a ballast problem.

Regards, Markus

Also want to inspect the internal wiring of your headlight assembly. The insulation is prone to drying out and cracking. causing short circuits to specific bulbs within the assembly.
