Thanks again. I'm all set up to change the fluid. You would think that metal cover and the aluminum supports would just fall off after you get the bolts off. I hate to admit I resorted to a crow bar.
I noticed the transmission mounts were leaking, so, much to the chagrin of my wife (who really wants to be driving it) I am going to order new mounts and a new engine mount. Maybe (oh, please) that and new fluid will solve the problem.
Thanks for the heads up on the 2nd gear issue. I will check into that while I'm at it!
