I have been experimenting with re mapping various make and model ECUs, to get maximum performance out of the factory car. I have had luck with Toyota and Chevrolet ECU's gaining about a 10-20hp gain from factory with a simple ECU remap.
I myself own a 2001 Boxster, it has been my test car. Everything on my car is bone stock, with the exception of a re mapped ECU. What is a re mapped ECU you may ask? Well I simply access the data on the ECU via a computer, change the values of the air/fuel/spark ratio and I can achieve great things (cant tell you all my secrets
With the ECU remapped on my Boxster I can acheive 0-60 times in 3-3.5 seconds, thats a lot better then the 6 second stock time.
I am just trying to pass on my amazing discoveries to you! My fellow Porsche fanatics, if I get enough interest in this we can set up a group deal and get you guys running 3 second 0-60s in no time.
Thank you my friends! And happy Motoring

Let the Top Gear blokes have a go at it. I bet 'The Stig' could get that thing under 2 seconds.

Great, with all of your sarcasm and suspicion you 'geniouses' have ruined our chance to finally be up there with the 996 guys. I bet that the OP never posts here again and we will start seeing 2.5-2.8 times from those Rennlist guys.
...and Smallblock454, if your going to chip your car yourself it's Doritos man, D-O-R-I-T-O-S.

I'm taking your advice and going over to try the 996 guys, you'll see their times and then want in anyone interested though. PM me and we will keep in touch as I conduct my tests and get things rolling.
Will still post my results to this thread when everything is how I like, untill then...
Happy Motoring

I suggest you send the ECU Doctor some cash and be the beta tester, let us know how it works out....................
For the record, I'm not one to usually pile on but this guy, his "recommend-er", their just joined status, trying to sell something here without being a vendor, etc., etc. etc. Like they say, there's one born every minute.
The 996 guys will and should wholesale tear ass also if they have any brains. ECU, you may want to get further in development then post. You are going about this entirely the wrong way, my 2 cents.

I just love ECU mods that defy physics. So cool! Maybe they forgot to mention it would require a few minor additional propulsion mods.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VBex8zbDRs
I could run a 3.0 second 0-60 in my car for free with no ECU or engine mods. All I have to do is remove 1500 lbs from the car.
Pffffft, Hosers!

Don't want to see those 6 smashed up connecting rods from his dyno run :/ Won't be beauty for sure lol
This reminds me of someone who've done that btdc adv timing thingy along with blind AFR tweaks a few years ago. yea that Audi TT was fast and sounded like a Motogp bike, <4 secs 0-60 of something but ran for about 2.5minutes before blowing up to pieces. Happened as soon as the engine reached operating temp.
Traumatizing experience, happened at our local circuit... 20+ dudes watching. Epic fail LOL

Considering what's coming out it's more likely an airplane taking a dump.

Boy, you guys sure look silly. I had ECU Doc do the upgrade for me and my box now goes 0-60 in under 1 second and 0-145 in 3 seconds. I bet you are all jealous now.

At what point do your eyeballs come back to normal shape and vision to come back?

Let me put it this way, my dog has to read and type for me until my vision recovers.
I have to have two parachutes added to the box in order to come to a stop.

I heard that ecu doctor actually designed the Nissan GT-R, I knew there was something crazy behind that 2.5 second Nissan Altima. He was fired because it was too fast and then followed his passion with Cameros.

This is great news! Porsche will absolutely have to bring out a 986 GT4 conversion upgrade, to counteract all the people who will be bypassing the Cayman GT-4 and buying 986s with this upgrade instead. Porsche are going to look really silly for not figuring out how to do this themselves
