New Fabspeed Maxflow
Well after lots of looking around and much contemplating which exhaust to buy or to stick with the stock exhaust, I bit the bullet today and ordered a new Maxflow from Fabspeed :) Of course I had to order it so hopefully by Nov Thanksgiving I will get this baby mounted :)
I'll post pics when it arrives although I might not be able to do any video/soundclips until the spring depending on the weather  Porsche 986 Boxster Maxflo Performance Exhaust System - Fabspeed Motorsport |

Let me know when you get it....so I can come by and drool!

Thank you :-) amazing that a little thing like a muffler can make it feel like an
early Christmas :-) (actually its better than Christmas lol) Jay you are certainly invited to come hear the music :) actually you can actually 'face the music' if you want you don't have to look away hahahaha Trimer; I kept hearing that same statement several times now and from what I understand this new latest revision's sound just compliments the car perfectly :) H |

amazing exhaust fabspeed .....love it to bits. i have the early generation of the maxflo ....
i think with the new model, you have even better sound ....cos they have higher rpm before resonance. |
What other brands did you look at before deciding?

The new Maxflo seemed to come most highly recommended; and one of the selling features to me was the 2" diameter pipe all the way from the header mating flange to the back, so when I eventually swap out the headers, the entire system will be 2". The sound and the finish of the exhaust also seems to be pretty good.... overall hard to beat. H |
Oh look what came in the mail today... too bad we're drowning in snow and the car is put away for the winter
I'll post some pics of the new muffler soon! H http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1416495770.jpg |
I finally got around to unpacking the box...
took some pics... http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018183.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018206.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018218.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018302.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018314.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018323.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1417018335.jpg |

Well the new exhaust went on today and I have to say, so far I'm happy having spent the extra on money. The fit is perfect and the sound is great... very happy with this purchase. Took me about 2hours for the complete job but I spent about 30min tinkering getting the height just right for the bracket as I had to compensate for the GT3TEK diffuser :) Anyhow it all turned out good.
I added a cheesy video... sorry its not great quality but you get the idea in sound difference. https://youtu.be/1HOQ80jW3uA H |
Looks great and sound nice! I just can't justify the $2,295.00 price, plus the shipping cost.
After I get my headers and secondary cat delete pipes on, I'm going to run with my current Crios modded stock muffler to see how it sounds, then I'll go with the Borla muffler. |

the transmission and the other exhausts, a lot of the drone complaints would vanish. H |
