As I said previously, the big plus is being able to see any debris in the filter when cleaning out plus it will last the lifetime of the car. With the standard SPOFA and filter, you will have to buy the cutting wheel to open up the filter for inspection.

We don't have Wix / Napa / K&N /Mobil filters in Australia, so buying a SPOFA would mean importing filters to fit, that's why the billet filter looked attractive........
What you do have in Australia, beyond the obvious, is a lot of GM cars that carry the same size oil filter. You should be able to easily find a suitable quality filter....
