Why not swap out the axle ?

ToughOne CV Axle Assembly NCV70002: Choose the best Drive Shaft/Axle at Advance Auto Parts

At $99 per side ready to install this should be easier and you know starting out both inner and outer are new.

Because the replacement axles are often Chinese knock-offs of inferior quality. You are usually better off rebuilding your own units.

I did not know this

I didnt know that the axles were China-Cheepo , I Have had pretty good luck with Advance before. I got my rotors for my E36 there but I went with Bosh rotors and they have done well. I have always heard that if a CV joint ever ran bone dry and started making noise they were done...no matter if you re-lube them or not.

Thanks

Dwight
