Changing MT Oil today, anything else to do while I have the cover and brace off?

I'm changing the manual transmission oil in my 2000S today; it will be the first time I have removed the plastic cover and aluminum brace under there. While I am under there, are there any other things to do/check while those covers are off?

I'm also doing spark plugs and tubes.

Thanks,

Steve

How about changing the oil and filter? Fuel filter? Easy access since you're in there.

Check for any oil seeps/leaks. Check the suspension components for worn bushings. Check the drive shafts for clicking or rough feeling CV joints when rotating (slowly). Check wheel bearings for slop/noise/rough feel.

Bleed the clutch, I will do it!
Oil &Filter changed about 1,500 miles ago so they are good.
Fuel filter, I will check my service records.
I am hoping the little bit of oil seepage is from the spark plug tubes, when I bought it my ppi said to get them done soon.

Thanks! Car is up on stands and wheels off

I'm also changing the post-cat O2 sensor on bank 1 (passenger side, somebody jump in if I have got it wrong...)

Man that thing is on there tight! I have got it soaking now in the WD40 version of PB Blaster...

Check you CV joints and boots (grease if necessary), check you coils, plugs, check your front engine mount to see if torn plus what everyone else has said above.

Front engine mount is new, I will look up how to check the CV Joints and grease what needs to be greased. Thanks!

while you're in there...

Check if the water pump shaft has residue indicating a possible coolant leak.

I will check the pump, good tip.

While my wheels are off I measured my rotors.
FL 24.85, FR 25, RL 22.95, RR 22.85

Some variances and I could probably have measured more spots and averaged them out, but what I am seeing is that the front rotors are *way* below spec (new 28mm, wear limit 26mm) and the backs are a shade below 50% wear (new 24, wear limit 22 mm)

Luckily I have some nearly new front rotors courtesy of Jaxonalden, and new Akebono pads. (The old pads have a lot of life but if I am going to new rotors I should go to new pads too?) I have some stainless brake lines too, maybe I will go hog wild and do everything

Luckily I have through the rest of the week off

Check the torque on the CV bolts. M10 socket to 60lbft I'd also check the torque on the stub axle nuts.. If you have an electric 1/2 in. drive gun, most of them will *at least* go to 300lbft (which is close enough on the stub axle nuts)
