Identifying RoW M030 and related questions

So, I have a few questions regarding identifying RoW M030 suspension and also some questions regarding the spring compensation plate thickness nand Bilstein dampers.

I picked a used RoW M030 from an early 986 2.5 kit for cheap.

Part number on the rear roll bar is correct for RoW M030. Good start.

1. The paint codes on the springs are:
Front: red yellow
Rear: red red.

From what I can tell that is correct - can anyone confirm?

2. The spring compensation plate paint codes.
Front: Green
Rear: White (I think)

From what I can tell, green means 6.5mm, white means 3mm.

So, do the spring compensation plates effect ride height? Can you use thinner plates to lower the car a little?

3. Finally, one of the rear shocks appeasr to be newer than the rest.
The Bilstein part number is clear: VNE-B332. I've searched the number and from what I can tell it's coming up as a standard Bilsten B4 shock, not an M030 spec shock.

Is that correct? My guess is that the shock failed or was damaged and was replaced with the wrong part.

Potty...
I've just removed my ROW shocks and springs from my 2001 Boxster S - they are original factory fittings, but because its a S model, they will be slightly different to yours:

FRONT
Shock: part # 986 343 041 20, pink paint dot.
Spring: blue / yellow paint dots with green paint dot @ top of spring.

REAR
Shock: part # 986 333 051 20, pink paint dot.
Spring: pink / yellow paint dots with white paint dot @ top of spring.
Hope this helps.....

pothole,

I ordered and installed the RoW M030 suspension component kit from Sunset Porsche/Audi in Portland, OR on my 2001 Boxster 'S'.

RoW M030 Package included the following components:
  • Front Sway Bar – 996.343.701.23 ’30 04’, White dot on bar end
  • Rear Sway Bar – 986.333.701.21 ’24 11’, White dot on bar end
  • Front Struts – 986.343.041.34 ‘Silver’ paint dot on strut body
  • Rear Struts – 986.333.051.30 ‘Silver’ paint dot on strut body
  • Front Springs – 986.343.531.15 504 ‘Red/Yellow’ paint marks on bottom, ‘Orange’ paint mark at top
  • Rear Springs – 986.333.531.30 504 ‘Red/Silver’ paint marks on bottom, ‘White’ paint mark at top
Not sure if this helps, but more data points for your consideration. Good luck!

Big thanks to all who contributed some info.

Am fairly sure the kit is all M030 bar the one newer damper which is probably.

Now just have to decide what to do about that!

I just purchased the ROW M030 set from Suncoast and here is a picture of the set:

Here are shots of the labels that I took off of the spring and strut packaging:

And the sway bar labels:

The front springs have a single blue stripe and orange/yellow
The rear springs have a single white with red/red
Struts and sway bars have green dots
