My top will not go down for some reason I had the car in about a year ago but it is not the same issue. This time when I push the button nothing happens I can't hear the top motor or anything it just quit working without warning. I checked the fuse and they are good, Does anyone know what the problem could be? What else should I check?
Thank you for your help

One other obvious part of the circuit is the handbrake sensor. Gotta make sure that is working properly or, if you've bypassed it, that it still is bypassed.
Unfortunately, it's the only one of its' kind so you can't swap it with another in your car. If you know someone with the same relay in their Boxster you can swap with them and see if it works before buying a new one.
Btw, if it turns out to be the relay, think about buying the smart top relay instead so you can put it down without the hand brake engaged.

Thanks for your help Guys are the relays real expensive
I don't know how much, but most relays that are single-purpose in Porsches are over the $100 mark. The part number is 986 618 199 00 if you want to call a local dealer and see.

Beyond the handbrake sensor, there's another one inside the hole where the center hook of the top connects to the front of the windshield. Try leaving the top unhooked and stick your left finger up into the hole and push in the switch, using your right hand to operate the top button.

With the switch pushed in by your finger (like when the top is latched) the top would refuse to operate. What you want to do is see if that switch is stuck, and is not popping out when the top is un-latched. I'm not sure if you can hear or feel it click when it is pushed in or pops out, though.
