I just finished putting a panamera emblem on my arctic silver box. My letter spacing is just a bit larger than 1" I think I could have gone a bit wider but I was trying to match the 'H' and 'E' with the offset stripe I have.

I always liked the simple "986" rear badge. Just a thought.

I just did that a month ago and while I was able to reapply the piece, you can see the split where it broke.
Now I'm starting to look at either new Boxster S or the Porsche.

Hi jtmarlinceo,
The " p o r s c h e " spacing i did has same measure as 2013 logos..
the spacing are equal to the letters about 4,1 cm..
the 2013 "Boxster & Boxster S" logo is smaller than previus logo.

I debadged by Boxster S a while back. I think I should be able to find a Valmet decal now that Metso is spinning off Valmet as a seperate company.
Either that or 986 RS if I can find I can find the extended wide lettering.

In my eyes, bare is best. However in the personalizing of ones car there is no one size fits all answer. Do what rings your bell and makes you proud of your car.

Thanks! I always joke with my friend that the car came with a custom paint job because it has that tint. If I didn't have the clear tail marker I would have probably smoked the taillight.
Here's an older picture if the boxster before I added the stripe
Porsche's arctic silver has to be the nicest car silver out there. The only thing I would've chosen over arctic silver is gunmetal gray... If only

Anyone know where to get the mask to accomplish this "porsche" third brake light look?

After I got my Boxster, I sent a photo of the rear end to a friend. The PO had gotten the "Id delete" feature, so my friend had to ask "what is it?" I've considered doing what Shehadehd did -- very nice looking result, and totally plausible as original equipment.
But do I want to spend $75 advertising Porsche? Do I need to do it to make sure my ego is properly stroked? I don't know the answers -- just that I want to do it.

I also Busted off the trailing "B" with a towel, so I bought an S on Ebay and painted it Red. Much easier now to wax and theres no mistake its an S.

Just did a refresh of my 986 with the 981 layout emblems...
Thanks to all the hints in this forum - I still thought best to have the local dealer do it with an original template. That tool is not as sophisticated as I thought...I like the outcome though...

Lurking UK Boxster owner from Spain here.
I never liked my Boxster S badge as it looked very dull, was not chrome. Several months ago I read how somebody used an ice lolly stick to help align a Panamera P O R S C H E badge. It helps it follow the curvature of the boot lid edge. I made the letters 2 cm apart and 11.5 cm up from the boot lid edge.
Ice lolly stick in action:

Where is a good place to order these emblems? I have checked out a few sites and the ones I saw didn't seem to have much variety in materials used.
I'm looking for PORSCHE and 986 probably in a flat black or black chrome
Any suggestions on where to shop?
