What is this and how do ( or should) I fix it?

I did a good off the ground look around my new Boxster and this is broken off and would like to know what it does. An more so do I need it fixed? It is located in the forward left tire well just aft of the control arm.

Thanks Thom

I just checked, and I don't have one of these on my car, and it works just fine. The Litronic headlight aim controller has an actuator that looks like this, but I took mine off when I changed to GT3 control arms, so I can't be sure. I just used some safety wire to fix the litronic sensor arm in the middle of it's range, if that helps you any.

That's the suspension angle sensor for the Litronics headlights. Mine was broken too, so I ziptied it into the hole in the control arm and it's worked fine since.
