My "seek" knob is also sticky on the boxster radio. I'm glad I found this thread.

As for causes, my guess is heat. Melting.

Also, my seek knob tracks up and down even when I only turn it clockwise.

For example, I could be on 99.1
I turn it clockwise to go up and it goes to 99.9
I turn it clockwise again to go higher, but it goes back down to 99.1
Samething happened when I changes stations in a counter clockwise motion, but it is not as bad.

It takes me a while to get to the radio station I want. Any ideas?
