I like the mesh with the painted insert left installed. The depth is appealing to me.

Have you thought about black mesh versus yellow mesh?

Definitely black mesh, not yellow . Here's another option. It's a turbo style intake designed to fit the 986 .

I believe I like the split opening on the Turbo because the opening is taller. On your 986 I like the OE opening with the black mesh to pick up on those black wheels.

BTW, are your wheels flat (or semi-flat black) or do they have more gloss to them than appears in the pic?

I've often thought about having the spokes on my wheels painted black. Thus far I've been too lazy to do it.

Dear Mr. Dan Gerous, I like the smooth transition into the nostrils (as opposed to the 'gills' on the newer Boxsters). It would seem that you would need a whole new rear quarter panel with this modification or is there another way to 'french' in the opening?

I am not personally fond of black painted wheels as it makes them hard to see and detail is lost, at least to these tired old eyes. Otherwise car looks great. Party ON!

I was referring to the white and yellow examples in the first couple of posts as I see no seam. The split turbo examples look like they would plug right in.
