I'm not an expert however if possible for you to let the car and electronics to dry for a week or more that'd be safe I' say. Disconnect the battery as soon as you can, don't try to start the car or play with the alarm for a while. Get that alarm box out of the car (located under the driver's seat, strange place indeed) and keep it in a dry room for a week. Best of luck mate, I feel ya remotely
