Got the cheapest one at Amazon (US$19). Works fine, delivered next day.

codes !

Thanks guys. I borrowed a reader and here is what came up:

P0306 ; P1125 pending; P1123 pending.

I just changed the plugs, so I am guessing i must have screwed up one of the coils (#6 ?). Prior to the plug change, i did not have any codes.

Thoughts on how to proceed?

thx.

The 1123/1125 are the worry

because they say both banks are being affected.

For the 306, sure look at the wiring, coil and plug for the 6th cylinder. Wires reversed with another? Coil on tight to plug? Plug looks like? Coil cracked? Switch coil to another cylinder and does the problem follow the col pack???

For the 1125/1125...do anything to the intake area? Why is everything (both banks) running lean? Too much air. MAF disconnected? or just cleaned? Leak in intake somewhere?

What kind of air filter? Just replaced?

Had a cel throw after changing plugs. One of the coil packs did not seat and was just making contact. The rubber caps/protectors can cause the coil wire not to connect even though you think you have it seated.

I am assuming the #6 coil didn't get reattached properly so i'll look at that. (is that driver's side, rear cylinder?)

on the 1123/1125, i'm stumped. i didn't change air filters or go anywhere near the intake. two questions on this? 1) is it possible that my bad thermostat is a factor here? it takes eternity to warm the car up. 2) the readings from the scanner were "pending". is it possible that it was a one-time problem?
