what is a durametric tool? i have a code reader, but don't know what a durametric tool is..

i will look into cleaning my MAF and if that's not it, i'll have to break down and buy one.

is putting a new MAF in someting I can do easily myself or should I take it to my mechanic? I'm fairly mechanical....I can do brake pads, rotors, stuff like that, but I don't want to mess with jobs where if I made a mistake it would break something expensive....

my water pump - i let hte mechanic do. if it's that hard, i'll have him do it. if it's easy, i'll try it.
