Dynolicious Acceleometer App for iPhone / iTouch

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded the Dynolicious App for my iTouch, cost $12.99. You can set up several different parameters to get some interesting information. But in order to set it up properly, you need some info:

http://www.bunsentech.com/projects/dynolicious/

1. Vehicle Weight (I will pull this from the owners manual, unless someone can post quickly here...)
2. Power train loss from flywheel to rear wheels, need the percentage of loss or you can leave blank and it will give you rear wheel HP.
3. How would you mount the iTouch / iPhone in the car so that it is stable (especially on the track) and you can review the results after a run. I am thinking strategically placed velcro....

I will post my impressions after I have had a chance to play around with it for a bit.

The app is pretty cool. I used it to record some data while on the Tail of the Dragon a couple of week back. The skip-pad said I maxed out at 1.06 G on a left-hander. Didn't do much with the 0 to 60 while there but it recorded all kinds of data. While I was driving Cindy held the iPod on the center console. I would think velcro would do fine either on the console or you could empty the oddments tray and stick it in there. Not sure if the iPhone is the same length at the iPod.

Good luck with it and post what you find out.

I bought an inexpensive glass mounted suction cup kinda holder for my iPhone off eBay that looks like it would do a great job of holding your iPod Touch for dynolicious runs.

For your first two questions, I think Jake Raby would have this info on the tip of his tongue. Send him a PM.

I also have dynolicious although I've had it for nearly two years and never used it!

I gotta get around to doing that sometime soon.
