cleaning window and tree sap

Hi folks- I have a 2002 S, the rear plastic window is a bit "foggy" and faded. Any solutions for products or methods for cleaning this up so I can see through it clearly? Also, last fall I mistakenly parked near a tree that puked a bunch of sap all over my car- any ideas for the best/safest method for cleaning this off?
Thanks for your help!

For the tree sap - I am successful with seeing tree sap break down with just water. For stuff that doesn't come off with a simple rinse - I use Zaino Bros or QEW [due to water restrictions] and have had no issues getting the car clean.

Thanks for the tip- but I've heard there's a product specifically for cleaning a faded plastic rear window that works really well- I was hoping someone might know about it.

Yeah there is. I know there is this product that you use a buffer to put on and it's like a 4 or 5 step affair, but I can't remember what it was called - sorry. Maybe google plastic window cleaner or something or wait for more replies.

I know for boats you can get good traction with those products too. They're like a 2 step/bottle re-furbisher. You can check those out at marine stores. They can work quite well also - they take away the oxidation quite well.

I was looking at this because I was checking out a 02 996 cab with a badly faded and worn rear window.

Anyhow, good luck

Chris, next time don't wait 5-6 months to remove the tree sap. We will kick you off the Forum and take away your car keys.

Will the Plexus stuff clean your window?

my friend owns a detail shop here in atlanta. they use 70% isopropyl alcohol. you have to wax over it of course.

Thanks guys. Another body man told me about the isopropyl, but I was a bit leary. I'll take care of it this weekend.
