Yes, the single canister FabSpeed reesonates between 2200-2800 RPM. Not bad top down, annoying top up. Typical FabSpeed amazing quality, and it does sound fantastic. It also flows very well, what with the removal of the secondary cats and it being full 2" plumbing.

I am hoping the new system they have will be resonance free, as of right now, the only thing I know of that doesnt' resonate are the systems from Dansk, Gembella, CarGraphic and the PSE.

"Well apparently I'm the only one here to be interested in this (LOL), but apparently FabSpeed is working on a new exhaust for the 986 that they claim will not resonate the way their current exhaust does."

I'm confused. "Working on" or currently available? The link you included in the thread starter is for the same old ad I've seen for months (years?) from FabSpeed. Where'd your info regarding the "new", resonance-free exhaust come from??

Well the 986 exhaust on their site is not what the original looked like.

Here's what the original looks like.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fabspeed-Porsche-Boxster-S-Exhaust-System-Mufflers-986_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 QQcategoryZ33630QQihZ002QQitemZ120118213105QQrdZ1Q QsspagenameZWD1V

The new one appears to be twin canister.

Thanks for the clarification. On checking your link, I believe I do recall seeing that single cannister setup at one point (don't recall how long ago).

I'd be interested in answers to the same questions bmwm750 raised about the dual-cannister FabSpeed exhaust myself, though so far it looks like maybe nobody on this forum has any experience with it yet. So Patrick, you ready to take the plunge??

If you go to

and download their PRODUCT VIDEO:
