It's about where you live as well. I haven't run into much hate where I live. There is the occasional ricer/high-schooler that wants to race, but many days go by without incident. I park it in normal spots, sometimes with the top down, and have had no issues at all.
I would never have thought that SC would be more accepting than, say, CA, Chicago, and NY. Who woulda thunk it?
