jamiehjr Registered User Join Date: May 2004 Location: Knoxville, Tennessee Posts: 10	what is redline for different years/engines? Hey! I am looking at acquiring a Boxster for my next car. I have test driven a couple and noticed a difference in engine RPM redline. Is the engine redline for the 1997-1999 2.5 6600-6700 rpm? 2000+ 2.7 7200 rpm? 3.2 liter 7400 rpm? I was confused when I was in a 2000 Boxster with a 7200 redline on the tach, and had driven a 2001 Boxster that had a 7000 redline, but cut out about 6600 rpm (at least it looked like the red marks on the tach started at 7k) Jamie
