Thanks, I wasn't sure if that would work for this application.

I'm having second thoughts about my girlfriend's car. Her 2003 986 S has PCM and I was just going to run new speaker wires in addition to the amp, but a factory amp is $20 shipped. I'll cannibalize the amp's connector to make a plug-and-play speaker wiring harness (like dalvarado did, here) and grab power from the battery, so I should only have to run 2 RCAs and a remote wire to the frunk.

The replacement amp is a Kenwood KAC-M3004, just a little fella (not my image):
