Can anyone tell me if there is an aftermarket or oem throttle body and plenum combo that works with the stock intake tube on a 3.2?

The technotorque 2 is discontinued and everything else (Ben's, ipd) requires a new intake tube. It doesn't look like you can buy ipd's tube separately either.

If you want a bigger throttle body you HAVE to use another intake tube.
The intake tube has the same diameter as the throttle body.

You can make an intake tube for pretty cheap, it shouldn't be a problem

Just to recap (sorry),

I'd buy from Ebay:
- 74mm Throttle Body
- Larger intake piping

I'd buy from you:
- 74mm plenum

So the larger intake tube would fit on to the new throttle body, which would fit onto your new plenum. Anything else I'd need?

No that's all!
You already have the exhaust, I just recommend a K&N drop-in panel filter, it's cheap and worked wonder on mine!

Sooo, I have been quiet lately... not because I gave up... But because I've been very busy

I'll let you guess what it is

And I spend the rest of my free time doing this... full makeover for my 986S!

I also started a website and an enterprise that will be in working order very soon !

For now, we’re running into problems with the inner part of the mould.
It should be resolved soon with a better suited mould

Good looking stuff there Ben , but if you want a REAL challenge how about designing and producing an AOS that performs and lives in the real world ?

As you said, it’s a real challenge, and unless I quit my job, I won’t have enough free time to work on it.
I already designed the plenum back when I had plenty of free time

I keep that in a corner of my head

I fitted a 74mm throttle body and plenum from a 996 for not a lot of money to my 2001 Boxster S. I purchased a silicone elbow/reducer off eBay, a piece of aluminum tubing, and another silicone coupler to connect to the stock intake which was trimmed. all for under $100. Tuned ECU for larger TB.

Yes, it's a well known mod. But it's looks a bit too "hacked" for my liking.
