Center console delete + phone holder !

Hi

I have finally finished my center console delete !

I decided that I didn't want the porsche gt3 center console, so I made my own in aluminium





then I had to do something for the hole in front of the shifter !




Phone holder !


the hole is too big for the iphone 4s, but perfect for my Lumia 1020 with case (I can't really do a bigger hole).

If you want the same, you can either make one yourself, It's not really hard, but it takes times ! Or, if you want, I can make you one

I still don't know if I let it bare aluminium or if I paint it ?

Nice!

Aluminum polish and a buffer will make that thing shine like a mirror. However, I think black or dark charcoal gray to match the console would be best unless you have other silver trim pieces (aluminum gauge rings, etc.).

Nice handy work.

I just got the GT3 console myself and have to see if I like it. At 6'4" I know I will appreciate the extra room.

I'm still not sure about the paint/bare aluminium !
I haven't had the time to think about it yet !

I think I will juste polish it, and put a clear coat to keep it clean
and to have another aluminium trim I think about the little "collars" that hide the screw on the door handle (I don't know how to name it ^^)

I remember seeing someone on a cayman forum use cardboard and black carpet. At $300+ for a gt3 delete, I can see why.
