Embarrassing but I want to do this enough to say - I lost the instructions that came with my cable(dash switch version) and I don't know exactly how to install it. Has anyone done any install instructions that I missed? I know there was some talk about this.

Pdwight, do you have any pics that you can share for the likes of me please? :)

Thanks.

If you PM your email, I can send you a PDF of the original build/install instructions from yosief.

Has anyone installed using the dash switches to control the OBC features? When reading the instruction on the Pelican website it states "To use this switch with the OBC, wire pins 2,3,4,5 from the table above to pins 1 and 2 of two different switches, and then connect the green ground wire to pin 4 of both switches." - This would mean you need 2 switches correct? Would you also need two of the white harnesses from Dwight?

I think you need 2 switches to simulate "up-down" and "front-rear".
1 harness should suffice, like for the stalk addition.

Thanks for clarifying.

Have to be honest with you

I would go with a 4 stalk, they just do not cost that much and look factory...you can do it with one switch and just step through the displays...I can make you as harness either way you go.

Thanks

Dwight

Would someone be able to confirm that the OBC stalk from a 4 stalk part number 99661321910 for a 911 or a 996 would work for the 986?

Yes, they should work for the 986.

Harness

Hello,
Are you still selling this?
Would it be possible to make a harness that goes to 2 switches?

Yes, I am still making these. So you want 5 conductors with leads for two switches ?

Would you simply like push on female crimp connectors (I will of course solder as well as crimp)

rj.thomas93 11-19-2015 09:30 PM

Yes, I think so. So that would be 4 signal and 1 ground leads?
Yes push on crimps are great for the switch end.
