Thanks Bruce,

I have the harness & the stalk, it's just to darn cold to work in the garage!

BTW Top speed came through on the same deal and I bought the test pipes. Thank you for that tip as well.

Don

I forgot to mention I bought this because my turn signal broke. I was looking at the 3 stalk to replace mine and found that one. Sure glad I got it and the wire harness from Pdwight, which made it such an easy mod. He even includes directions of where to plug everything in at.

No problem Don! Even here in Texas I am tired of this winter already, way too cold. I moved down here from the North to get away from cold weather! You will like the results of both projects! Hopefully you can get in the garage soon

Would any stalk work from a parts car? I think I may jump the gun on this one!

You need the fourth stalk from any 986 and maybe a 996? I got a complete four stalk from a parts car and just removed the proper stalk and installed it on mine. Easy to do

The other stalks do not have the same mount. I did poke around on a some Audi and VW parts website trying to find a stalk that might work. I figured our cars borrowed some other Audi/VW stuff like the key switch.

Yes, this is annoying. I think it's usually either someone that doesn't understand how an auction works or the seller using multiple accounts to drive up the price prematurely.

I have the 4 stalk in my feed for you. Will let you know

I just found a 4 stalk assembly to add the 4th stalk to my 2002, now I just need the harness.

Pdwight - I'll send the $45 for the 4 stalk harness via PayPal tonight. Let me know your lead time.

Fintro11 - Sorry if it was me that got the one you were bidding on. I got it Sunday late, but maybe not the same one since price was low until the last 10 minutes or so, got it for just over $100.

Soon

I have two partially finished and will get them all out by tomorrow's mail...work has beat me up this week..sorry for the delay but I iwll not take any short cuts on my work.

When I was a young student in Electronics class (think 1973) one of the instructors told us "If you dont have time to do it right the first time...how will you ever find time to do it right the second time?"

Thanks everyone

Dwight

That's a good price, I think I paid $130. I had not heard of that parts place. They seem to have reasonable prices.
