carbon fiber trim

trim in my boxster is a little scratched in some places, thought I would touch it up by using carbon fiber vinyl.

done

I am not overly happy with the results. the vinyl itself looks great, but I made a few mistakes along the way. the center console was by far the most difficult piece. lots of curves and inserts. my biggest mistake was that I got the 12 inch roll of vinyl. it was a bit too short for the console. I made it work, but had to heat and stretch it, which caused issues. also, having to stick, pull up and re-stick the vinyl caused it to start loosing it's adhesion. you can do it a few times, but after that it is iffy.
I will most likely order some 36 in or wider vinyl and redo the center console later. good enough for an amateur for now

here are photos of it done and installed.
