Take a look at my retrofit thread. I still have not finished it, but there are some good pictures in there.
For nice and clean install of the ballast, you'll want a 1" holesaw and some 1" hole plugs from the hardware store.
1" is the perfect size to allow all the connectors to pass through the rear cover in case you need to replace the ballast down the road.

Re sealing the lights

Im curious , if you use RTV they would be sealed forever.....or can you get them back apart ??
