Just a dab of the green caliper paint on the HID cutoffs and around the Cree LEDs to carry the color in the lenses as seen in my last post.

Funky! Quick question... those shotgun LED projectors, how do they hook up to the system? Are you planning to connect them to the parking light or the low beams? Fogs? Standalone circuit?
You need to put on the inner trim and the lens then fire it up so we can see what it will look like
(curious!)

Who cares if someone else likes it or not! What you have so far is pretty cool looking. I am also curious about the outboard LED's.

I'm not sure yet.
They will either be DRL's or "flash to pass" daytime high beams. They are very bright. Blinding.
Combine that with the projector lens and they are actually very useful.
I mostly just like the way they look, though.
I'm resurrecting the old CCFL DRL idea, also. These will be nice because I made them so that the bulb can be changed through a plug in the side of the headlight (no need to remove the lens). They are also very bright.
Still a bit of work to go, but I'll have them finished in a week or so.

Cree
Could you do that with a frosted tube and a Cree at each end...should burn essentially forever.

In a week you'll have all of your customer's kit in hands (bity of a heads up). So yea everyone, expect this mod in Autumn lol
Was browsing at this CA guy's website ('80 style, beware btw)
http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/El_wire.htm

I've seen the Bill Me Later thing often but never really cared to look into it, what it meant. Until today. juss sharing man

Why on earth are they still using inverters (Ballasts) with all the wonderful high output SMD these days ?

See above. The quest for tube lighting...led tubes aren't very bright and they still have that uneven spotty look.

More headlight pron...
These could be ready by tomorrow, but I'm going to wait a day to see if anything else comes to mind before I re-seal them.

The Cree LEDs in the small projectors that I'm using are 1 watt each (330 mA @ 3 V) and are more than bright enough for DRLs, though I probably won't use them as such.
