Spec Boxsters in Norcal?
So, with what club do the spec Boxsters race in northern California?
I'm a member of NASA, which has a spec Boxster class, but results for 2014 showed no spec Boxsters raced with them. Is there something wrong with NASA? https://www.nasaproracing.com/results/norcal.html
The forums of the Porsche Racing Club show no postings related to spec Boxster. It's all about Spec911. http://www.prc-racing.com/forum
Maybe they race with the Golden Gate Region of the PCA, but it's hard to tell. There are no posted racing results for 2014 and no one has posted anything to their forums in years. Porsche Club of America Golden Gate Region • Index page
Bill Pickering used to be active here, but hasn't posted anything in years.
Of course, the Porsche Owners Club (socal) has many spec Boxsters, and they do occasionally come up north. But there must be some norcal Boxsters, no?
Boxsters can race with the SCCA in the ITR class, but the local region's website shows no Boxsters raced with them last year either.
So I give up--where are the norcal Boxsters hanging out?!
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg - i'm racing with CFRA (cfra.net). Probably not what you are looking for, but there are quite a few Porsche guys and a few other Boxsters there with me...
Do keep us updated as to what else you find!!

Both PCA and PRC run Spec Boxsters. The PCA West Coast Series always sees a pretty good turnout.

As I recall there was some sort of rules kerfuffel at NASA that the SPEC Box guys didn't like. I don't remember the details though.

Clemson Chan, Forrest and Flintworks used to run spec Boxsters. Forrest and Clemson are both GG Region members and Flintworks is in Campbell. Don't know if they still do but you might contact Alden Flint at his shop.

Almost all California Spec Boxster's run in PCA or POC (or both).
Drivers simply go to where they can find a decent sized field to run with and so over time this is where most BSR/SPB's have ended up.

Greg,
after multiple complete totals of race cars running with PRC/NASA? The NorCal guys *kinda shied away from running with PRC/NASA.
You will find 10-12 cars at each PCA event here on the west coast, and the same number of cars with POC in SoCal.
