The hole in the hood is for the air jack nozzle which you can see in the other pics - it sticks up through the hood.

Yeah that's where the cabin air filter is, but I would assume it gets vacuum pressure from the HVAC fan.
Your setup would likely inhale some water too if I tried that here in the PacNW.

Yeah - I would cover it when it was wet out - the cover fits right over it. The fan I could use would be one of these - same as what cool shirt uses for their helmet feed.

You could also run a similar type of NACA duct in the front of the passenger side window, I have seen a lot of racers do that. Probably harder with the frameless window though.

For my build plan, depending on the type of hard top I install I am thinking of integrating a NACA duct directly into the top. I have a Stilo helmet with direct air feed but you could also just pump it right in front of the driver.
