Cabin air feed
 

Noted in the other thread that I was trying to find someway to get some air in the cabin as it gets pretty hot in there. So here is my attempt at a solution. I had some of the hose and the outlets laying around from a previous brake duct project on my old S4 and so I figured I'd see if this would work. Purchased the duct from Pegasus and it fit right in. Used the cover to mark and drill the holes. Bent the lip of the aluminum outlet flat and drilled it and used a sheet metal screw to attach it under the dash. Large zip tie keeps the hose in place. May work. May not. If it doesn't - I might look into fitting an inline blower like the one from coolshirt (non name brand ones are $25 and wire it to a toggle in my dash.

I can't see what you are doing. Are you trying to get air in from the frunk into passenger compartment?

There's no pressure in the frunk to get any air in the driver compartmen. I would think you have to have an intake in the front spoiler to get any air.

I was thinking that too, but when I took a look at the pictures again, I noticed the hole on the hood in the second pic.

Possibly - but as I said if it doesn't work - I can add a inline fan.

The hole in the hood is for the air jack nozzle which you can see in the other pics - it sticks up through the hood.

Yeah that's where the cabin air filter is, but I would assume it gets vacuum pressure from the HVAC fan.

You could also run a similar type of NACA duct in the front of the passenger side window, I have seen a lot of racers do that. Probably harder with the frameless window though.

For my build plan, depending on the type of hard top I install I am thinking of integrating a NACA duct directly into the top. I have a Stilo helmet with direct air feed but you could also just pump it right in front of the driver.

Yeah - I would cover it when it was wet out - the cover fits right over it. The fan I could use would be one of these - same as what cool shirt uses for their helmet feed.

I ran the car last Friday with the air feed for the first time and it worked great! Definitely a nice strong flow of air through the system. I don't see a need for a fan. Very happy with how it turned out. Definitely cooler in the car than the previous outing without it.
